2010 Jazz Ensemble Festival Schedule

The schedule for the 2010 MSBOA Jazz Ensemble Festival is now complete. The schedule contains the performance times for the ensembles as well as the work assignments for the directors. This year we saw an increase of almost 20 ensembles necessitating adding an additional site on the East side of the state. We want to thank the hosting schools for their cooperation in this annual event. Every attempt was made to honor the directors scheduling requests.

Announcing MSBOA's Teachers of the year

Martha Scharchburg was selected as the 2010 Teacher of the Year for Band. Martha teaches for the Dexter Community Schools.
Linda Trotter was selected as the 2010 Teacher of the Year for Orchestra. Linda teaches for the West Bloomfield School District.Congratulations to both of these fine instrumental music educators! Both Martha and Linda will conduct a selection at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival held on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, May 13-15, 2010. |
